Chapter 5

The dancing wasn't so bad as I thought. The past years, whenever I'm dancing with my date I'm always having a bad time. However, this time with Chris felt different, I'm actually having a fun time.
"So, how am I doing so far?" Chris asked.
"Pretty good for a bad dancer, what about me?" I asked.
"You're doing a fabulous job," Chris said in a british accent, I laughed.
"Haha, thanks." I said.
"You know, you're different in class." he said.
"Different? How so?" I asked.
"Whenever I look over to you, you're always looking down at the floor or you're drawing or reading, you never really talk unless you have to, why?" he asked.
"I'm not exactly sociable, I guess I'm just shy around people I'm not used to." I replied.
"How about me?" he asked.
"I'm getting there." I smiled.
He smiled back, "Good."
I look over to Star to see how she's doing. Judging by the smiles I see on both of them, they are also having a nice time. Maybe there is hope for love for me. But I'm not sure Chris feels that way about me just yet. Then suddenly the song changed to I'm Not a Vampire by Falling in Reverse. I look at Chris and he smiled. I smiled back as we danced along to the song.
"Well, I'm not a zombie but I feel like one today," he began to sing. "Self-induced comatose, chemical daze."
I laugh, "My head is always spinning from this dizzy, blurry vision and my stomach has had enough."
"I feel like a lady that is pregnant with a baby cause I'm always throwing up," he sang while making puking gestures.
I couldn't control my laughter and ended up cracking up with Chris. He laughed with me by holding his stomach and saying "Oh God, Oh God. Stop just stop hahaha!" Which just made me laugh even more.
Star noticed this and walked over to us with Dan, "Hey, it sounds like you two are having a good time."
"We are, thanks Starlet." Chris said with a smile.
"Yeah, thanks Star you're the best." I said with a smile also.
"Of course I am," she said jokingly ",and you're welcome both of you." she continued smiling at us.
"And?" I asked her.
"And what?" she asked back.
"And what about you and Dan?" I asked.
She blushed a little "Oh we're having a good time too."
"Yeah we are," he said smiling at Star.
"I don't know about you guys but I'm thirsty, I'm going to get some punch, you guys coming?"
"I'll go with you." Dan offered.
"And you two?" Star asked Chris and I.
"Actually, I need to use the restroom you guys can go without." I replied.
"I need to make a quick call, be right back." Chris left to restroom.
"Well okay, we'll go to the food station. Meet you there when you're done Snow." Star said then headed over to the food station with Dan.
